This site is here to help more people understand agave spirits, because drinking mezcal is great, but knowing the history and process of the mezcal your drinking makes it even better. At least for me, maybe its just me. Either way! Everything written here is compiled from years of talking with brand managers, mezcaleros, bar owners, and the many people living in and traveling through this amazing city that are passionate about mezcal, but maybe too busy to make a website about it. If they do have a website and its amazing, I will link to it, of course.

I don’t make mezcal myself, I just drink it, and often make a cocktail or two with it, although I prefer it neat. I manage an agave focused bar in Chicago. I also do other things, like any normal person, but that’s not what this site is about! Its about drinking mezcal and talking about how it got here. Good thing too, because I love doing just that.
